Description
We are seeking a volunteer to become our Volunteer Email Coordinator! This role involves supporting the volunteer experience by managing and redirecting emails to appropriate directors, managers, and/or coordinators

Volunteer Email Coordinator Application
Responsibilities:
1. Manages volunteer email inbox by responding and or redirecting volunteer emails within 24 to 72 hours to the appropriate director, manager, and or coordinator.
2. Regularly checks and responds to all incoming emails, calls, texts, and Slack messages within 72 hours (except during time off or extenuating circumstances). Urgent matters are addressed immediately, generally within 24 hours.
3. Shares ideas and communicates personal suggestions as applicable to direct supervisor to continually improve the volunteer programs.
Collaborates With:
● Volunteer Coordinator
● Volunteer Recruitment and Training Manager
● KAEF Directors and Leadership
Qualifications:
● 18 years of age or older
● Minimum high school education or equivalent (e.g., GED)
● Basic computer competency (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
● Excellent communication, organization, and cleaning skills
● Must be a team player and committed to team success
● Knows how to deal with confidential matters appropriately
● Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills
● Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with sensitive deadlines
● Detail-oriented and results-driven
● Proven verbal and written communication skills
● Volunteer experience with KAEF (preferred)
Training:
● General Volunteer Orientation
● Training with Volunteer Coordinator
Time and Place: Virtual work with a flexible schedule.
Commitment:
● Overall time commitment: Minimum of 6 months
● Weekly time commitment of 4-7 hours per week
● All scheduling conflicts must be appropriately communicated with the Volunteer Coordinator:
● For scheduling conflicts 1 week or more away, email info@kauaianimaleducationcenter.org
● For scheduling conflicts in less than 1 week or within 24 hours, text the Volunteer Coordinator
Supervision: Direct supervision by Volunteer Coordinator; indirect supervision by Executive Director
