Description
As a full-time Puppy Raiser, you will welcome a puppy into your home for 12–18 months, teaching your pup basic manners, house rules, and socialization in a variety of public settings. You will truly open your heart and home to a future Service Dog that will improve someone's life in so many ways!
Being a Puppy Raiser is a full-time commitment. You will provide daily care and oversight of your puppy, attend weekly Group Dog Training classes on Thursday mornings at various parks, malls, and other locations across the island, and practice what you learned at home or when out and about throughout the week. You will begin teaching your puppy basic obedience commands and move on to advanced commands that will help a person who needs mobility assistance.
