Mentor a Youth

At  Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai‘i, we build and support one-to-one mentoring relationships to ignite the biggest possible futures for Hawai‘i’s keiki. ​Each year we create and support more than 1,500 life-changing friendships for youth and volunteers. Our goal? To create a brighter future for keiki on Kaua‘i, Maui, and O‘ahu, one friendship at a time. Today's youth face a variety of challenges, and being matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister can help them navigate life's obstacles and reach their fullest potential.

Adults and children are matched in a one-to-one mentoring friendship based on personalities, interests, hobbies, and geographic locations. ​Matches hang out at least twice a month and do activities they both enjoy, like going to the beach, watching movies, or sharing a meal. Matches form meaningful memories while having fun!
