Ongoing Position
Show Up. Make a Difference.
Boys & Girls Club of Maui
Description
Be a BGCM Volunteer Mentor and support Maui youth in a safe, positive after-school setting. Our Clubhouses serve keiki and teens who benefit most from consistent, caring adults—someone who shows up, listens, encourages, and helps them grow.
Ongoing volunteers commit to a minimum of one year and serve on a consistent schedule (weekly or biweekly is ideal). Volunteer shifts typically run 2–4 hours and may include helping with homework and reading, leading games or simple enrichment activities, supporting wellness/fitness or arts, assisting with teen programming, and being a steady, encouraging presence.
Our goal is to help young people build confidence, skills, and strong connections—so they can thrive at school, at home, and in life. BGCM staff provide orientation, ongoing guidance, and on-site support to ensure volunteers feel prepared and youth remain safe and supported.
If you are interested in becoming an ongoing Volunteer Mentor, we invite you to apply and share your availability and preferred age group (elementary, middle school, or teen).
