Social Media Intern

CCH is seeking a social media intern to assist with broadening and expanding our social media presence on both Instagram and Facebook.  As a small organization, we need help in creating on-brand and themed posts, stories, and reels to promote our educational messages, upcoming outreach events, and highlight our native species and conservation news.  We are hoping that an intern will be able to work with us as part of a project or coursework to receive credit or turn in for a grade, as the position is unpaid.  CCH is willing to work with course requirements or class syllabus to ensure maximum possible benefit for the intern.

Initially, the intern will need to work with CCH staff and our board-led social media committee to learn about the organization, our mission, and our voice.  CCH will provide social media post guidelines, to include some branding information such as color palettes and fonts, in order to unify our posts.  The intern will also be provided with access to a variety of approved photos for usage, with photo credits.  The intern will not be responsible for posting to CCH social media accounts, but will instead create content and draft captions for use with the organization social media calendar.  CCH, along with the intern’s input, will develop a calendar for posts.  Once initial training is complete, the intern may work independently on their own schedule, as long as posts are completed within designated deadlines.  Time should not exceed 10 hours per week and may be significantly less.
