🌱 HELP PROTECT OUR COASTAL RESTORATION PROJECT!

Join Mālama Pūpūkea-Waimea (MPW) for a special hands-on workday as we install 175 feet of bamboo fencing to help protect our newly planted Native Hawaiian Plant Coastal Restoration Project area. Come lend a hand, connect with your community, and learn a traditional Hawaiian skill while helping care for our fragile coastal and marine ecosystems. 🌊

🎋 WHAT YOU'LL DO

🌿 Help install and secure 175 feet of bamboo fencing
🪢 Learn ʻŪ Paʻa, a traditional Hawaiian lashing technique
💚 Support the protection of newly planted native coastal vegetation
🤝 Spend the morning working alongside your community to mālama ʻāina

🧤 WHAT TO BRING

Gloves and tools will be provided! Please wear comfortable clothes suitable for outdoor work and bring water, sun protection, and a willingness to get hands-on.

This workday is part of MPW’s Native Hawaiian Plant Coastal Restoration Project, in proud partnership with Adopt a Park and the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Parks and Recreation.
