Hawai'i Island Festival of Birds

Join us for a full-day, family friendly festival celebrating the native birds of Hawai'i alongside critical conservation success stories. Event proceeds support the work of the Hawai'i Wildlife Center and Conservation Council for Hawai'i, plus future festival events. Event highlights include:

• Manu hula & guest speakers
• Conservation booths, local artists, and crafters
• family activities & more

We need volunteers to help in a variety of tasks throughout the day. You may note your task preference or interest, but there are no guarantees of task assignment as volunteers will be placed as needed. Tasks include:

• Registration/Check-In Table
• Passport Stamping 
• Silent Auction supervision
• Door access guard to each of 4 areas of the festival
• Stamping activity station
• Lobby docent
• Floater

Volunteers are required to work at least 1 shift (approximately 3.5 hours) and will receive a free pass and festival lanyard for their work.  Volunteers can also help during set up (7am-8:30am) or breakdown (5pm-6:30pm) if they are available. When not working your volunteer shift, volunteers are encouraged to explore and enjoy the festival.
