Hawaiʻi Health & Harm Reduction Center (H3RC) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to reducing harm, promoting health, creating wellness, and fighting stigma across Hawaiʻi.
We serve people impacted by HIV, hepatitis, substance use, homelessness, mental health challenges, poverty, and other health and social disparities. Our work includes healthcare, HIV and STI prevention and care, harm reduction and overdose prevention, syringe services, behavioral health, housing and food support, case management, and community outreach.
H3RC also has deep roots in Hawaiʻi’s LGBTQIA+ community, dating back to the response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Today, that commitment continues through HIV services, sexual health, PrEP and PEP, gender-affirming care, programs supporting transgender and māhū communities, advocacy, education, and community events.
Across all of our work, we meet people where they are and believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, low-barrier services without judgment or stigma.
Volunteers help bring that mission to life. From community events and outreach to food distributions and service projects, there are many ways to lend your time and talents while making a meaningful difference in communities across Hawaiʻi.
