Habitat for Humanity Hawai'i Island is part of a global, non-profit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God's love into action by building homes, strengthening communities, and creating hope. The organization was formed in 2017 through the merger of Habitat for Humanity West Hawai'i and Hale Aloha O Hilo Habitat. This partnership renewed the shared commitment both organizations had already made to the people of Hawai'i Island - to help families build brighter futures through homeownership.
Habitat Hawai'i Island was founded on the belief that everyone deserves a simple, safe, and affordable place to live, and that creating strong communities with decent housing is something we should all care about and work toward together.
We welcome volunteers, partners, and supporters as we serve families in need of housing in our island community.
