Event
History Makers: Hawaiian Mission Houses Summer Camp Adventures
Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site and Archives
Description
What is it? Hawaiian Mission Houses is partnering with local summer camps such as Kama 'Āina Kids, YMCA Honolulu, Epic Foundation, and more to offer keiki the opportunity to explore the historic grounds of the two oldest houses in Hawaiʻi.i
How can you help? Support these events by playing games, dress up, and making candles with keiki! These activities require very little training. If you're interested in taking a more involved role, we are happy to train volunteers on other activities as well. A favorite is learning to operate our 19th century replica printing press!
Where is it? In the heart of downtown Honolulu, on King Street, near Honolulu Hale and Kawaiahaʻo Church.
When is it? For three weeks in July, every Tuesday through Friday these 3 hour visits are being offered to summer campers and many have already signed up!
Sign up for a specific date here on volunteer ally and our School Programs Coordinator will reach out to you and take care of the rest!
