Genki Care Activities – Help Restore the Ala Wai Canal!
Join us for a hands-on volunteer opportunity to care for and toss Genki Balls as part of our mission to clean the Ala Wai Canal using natural bioremediation methods!

Meet at 8:00 AM
Meeting Location:
Ala Wai Neighborhood Park Parking Lot
What You'll Do:
Help unload Genki Balls from the van to the Ala Wai Canal
Toss the Genki Balls into the canal in front of the community garden
Walk to the Genki Ala Wai Project Container (at Ala Wai Elementary School)
Assist with Genki Ball care:
Remove the newspaper from the trays
Pack Genki Balls into milk crates for the next toss
Organize and tidy up the containers
Why It Matters:
Your help supports the Genki Ala Wai Project’s mission to clean one of Hawaii’s most polluted waterways naturally. It’s a great way to learn about microbial bioremediation, connect with the community, and make a meaningful impact.
Be a part of this fun and purposeful effort!
Must be able to lift to 15 lbs and enjoy outdoor, active work.
