Aloha friends,
Kids Hurt Too Hawaiʻi is excited to announce our upcoming Surf for the Soul event happening on January 18th at Puaʻena Beach Park, and we’re reaching out to our community to help make this day possible.
Surf for the Soul is more than a surf lesson. It’s a day intentionally designed to support keiki through connection, movement, and meaningful mentorship in one of Hawaiʻi’s most healing spaces—the ocean. In partnership with Billabong and the Andy Irons Foundation, professional surfers will be in the water personally teaching keiki how to surf while also sharing lessons about resilience, confidence, and navigating life’s ups and downs.
To create a safe, supportive, and impactful experience, we are looking for volunteers to assist with:
Keiki support and encouragement
Beach and water safety support (non-surf roles available)
Event setup and breakdown
General event coordination and hospitality
Volunteers play a vital role in helping keiki feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout the day. Whether you’re experienced with youth, passionate about the ocean, or simply want to give back, your presence can make a lasting difference.
If you’re interested in volunteering or would like more information, please reply to this email or reach out to our team directly.
