Na Lima Kōkua
Limahuli Garden & Preserve NTBG
Description
We have open volunteer days in the Garden every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8-11. Volunteers help to take care of the valley and our living collections (mostly weeding, planting, and mulching). We also have a volunteer opportunity in our lower preserve on some Wednesdays from 8-1. This requires hiking for 30 minutes each way over rough and slippery terrain, and is a longer day. Other volunteer opportunities are also available upon request.
If you are interested in joining us, please confirm with me which day you would like to volunteer. An RSVP is required. Thank you for your interest in helping us care for the valley and its unique plant life.
Requirements
Closed toe shoes are required. Be prepared for sun, rain, mud, and mosquitoes. We provide gloves and tools.
Please park in the staff parking area, up the exit driveway. We will meet there at 8.
