Aloha Animal Sanctuary Volunteer Day
Aloha Animal Sanctuary
Description
Interested in possibly volunteering with us on a regular basis? Want to learn what that looks like? Come to this volunteer day to see what it's all about!
Looking for volunteers that feel good about breaking a sweat and doing some manual labor! The day will include some work in habitat care, giving some TLC to the residents, and a tour of the sanctuary.
Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind sweating in and getting muddy. Please bring your own water bottle to refill (it can get hot!) and depending on the weather we recommend sunscreen and/or a rain jacket.
You will get a short tour which will include education about the background and mission of the sanctuary, along with introductions to animals who call the sanctuary home. For the animals who love their photos to be taken (yes Haku, we are looking at you...) there will be plenty of photo ops as well. However, we kindly remind all visitors that we are a sanctuary and not a petting zoo. Some animals may not want to interact with us during the tour, and we will never force them to. At Aloha Animal Sanctuary, the animals come first.
Please wait at the green covered front gate for check in. Please register for each person in your party. We will send you a confirmation link with a waiver that should be signed by everyone prior to arrival. If you need assistance with the waiver please arrive earlier for help.
🅿️: As you turn onto Pulama Road, curve with the road. You'll see the green sanctuary fence to your right. Keep in mind we have limited parking spaces so park thoughtfully. Please find your spot along side the fencing.
Thank you so much for supporting your local sanctuary! We look forward to seeing you soon
