Do you have expertise or knowledge about environmental stewardship, life skills, interpersonal skills, Hawaiian culture, water safety, ocean science or an interesting hobby that could build teen resilience, knowledge or life skills? We are looking for volunteers to teach at risk teens important life lessons in these areas as part of our Surfrider Spirit Sessions curriculum.
You'll come to the beach and share on a desired topic with our youth to make an impact and get them excited about learning in a 'talk story' style information session.
Volunteers can offer one or more dates they would like to come and speak. It is not necessary to attend all dates. Exact times are flexible.
Volunteers must be 18+, provide credentials, and meet with session leaders via zoom or in person to discuss potential lesson topics and possible scheduling.
Location:
Canoes Surf Break (by the Duke Statue - look for a blue tent)
We will accept volunteers ongoing. If you're interested, please reach out to us and we can plan your lesson for Summer or Fall as well.
No waivers available.
