Join us for our 'Uala Cutlivar Workshop on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9:00AM to 2:00PM at the Hui loʻi complex located within Hāʻena State Park (HSP).
Join us for a hands-on workshop focused on ʻuala (sweet potato), one of our key cultivars that we grow in multiple varieties on site. Our Loʻi Complex Manager, Eric Hansen, will guide participants on how to plant, mālama, and harvest ʻuala.
Participants will also take part in an educational session all about ʻuala, exploring its moʻolelo, traditional planting practices, plant identification, and various cultural and culinary uses.
Following the workshop, we’ll gather for a community potluck lunch. The Hui will provide food, and participants are welcome to bring a dish as well.
