During the month of February, Grow Some Good hosts itʻs annual island-wide school garden workdays which will include multiple schools across Maui. The event aims to create awareness of the importance and impact of school garden programming and to provide much needed love and maintenance to our school gardens.
Community members from all walks of life will be encouraged to get involved at their nearest school garden to give four hours of service to helping maintain and beautify the gardens.
Please join us this day at Kihei Elementary on Saturday, February 21st from 8am-12pm.
Grow Some Good will be supporting Kihei Elementary school on this day to get the garden growing for the school and student use. Our garden coordinator, Jill, will be leading various projects in tending the garden. Please meet Jill near the front entrance of the school by the office at the start time. The garden is located centrally in the school before the playground.
Families and children are welcome to attend! Please note that there will be no childcare provided and you are responsible for your child. Please fill out a waiver form for each of your children if they attend with you.
Please be prepared to get your hands dirty! Please bring close toed shoes, a hat, water bottle, and any snacks you may need for the day!
